I layed down for about an hour before I got back up and had a 3 hour drive back to Oslo airport for my flight to England.  Mom and Cowboy Crush arrived on time, less a bass guitar.  Saw mom for about 10 mins. as they had to drive to Vinstra and I had to check in for my flight.
No problems on my flight to Birmingham, England.  Had a 1 1/2 hour drive to Newark in Nottinghamshire.  I am here for the Americana Festival that we have Travis LeDoyt on.  Travis is a great Elvis impersonator.  He looks, sounds and moves just like young Elvis.  He does not do any of Elvis "older" stuff.  When I got to the hotel 2 of his band members were outside eating dinner.  I joined them and a few minutes later Travis and his manger / bass player Dick came walking up from being in town.  The town is a very cute little English village.  Travis's showtime was not until 9:45 pm, so we left for the venue at 8:30 pm.  It turned really cool outside and started drizzling (imagine that in England)  The festival is great, it is all things to do with America, rednecks and all :)
Travis did a wonderful show and the crowd just loved him.  He did pictures and autographs after the show.  Got back to the hotel around midnight and I crashed as I had been up since 5:00 am with 1 hour of sleep!

Slept through breakfast.....
Left for the venue at noon as his show today is at 1:30 pm, he did a lot of gospel songs that Elvis use to sing and the crowd loved him.  I think we did more pictures and autographs today then we did last night.  Back at the hotel by 5 and had dinner.  I have had the chicken curry 2 nights in a row now.  It is delicious.  England has great Indian food.  Travis and 2 of the band members went back to the venue to catch a few of the other acts while I stayed at the hotel trying to get online.... I never did, it is dial up and I just couldn't get it to connect.  Went to bed at midnight, still trying to recoup on my sleep.

Up at 7 am to have breakfast with the guys and head to the airport at 8:30 am.  No problems getting to the airport and out of Birmingham.  Of course trying to get out of Newark, NJ was a different story.  We landed on time and made our way through customs.  My suitcase is ruined...on the bottom where one of my wheels are the suitcase is busted.  Well, it had a nice run :)  Instead of leaving EWR at 5 pm, we did not leave until about 7:30 pm, we landed in Nashville about 2 hours later than normal.  All of us were just ready to get home!
Carlene's group and Travis's group were all great to work with and hope to work with them all again soon.
